DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Bethel, Maine:

The town of Bethel is five miles to the north and is the closest town. Bethel has shops, a grocery store, classic New England inns, and a range of bed & breakfast and motel establishments. The Sunday River Ski Resort is fifteen minutes north in the town of Newry. The Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce is an excellent resource:

Take Route 5 south from Bethel. After about 4.5 miles, look for a brown sign indicating White Mountain National Forest camping on the right. Take the next right onto Patte Brook Rd. After 0.5 miles, look for #103 on the right marked with the number and a small wooden Mornington Crescent sign.

From the South (Boston, MA; Portland, ME):

Take I-95 (Maine Turnpike) north to exit 63 in Gray. Follow Route 26 north to Bethel and follow directions from Bethel above.

From the near South (Bridgton)

Take Route 117 north to North Bridgton, then left to Route 37 to Waterford. Turn left onto Route 35 to North Waterford, and turn right where Route 5 joins Route 35 and continue north into Albany Township. Look for a brown sign indicating White Mountain National Forest camping. Take the next left onto Patte Brook Rd. After 0.5 miles, look for #103 on the right marked with the number and a small wooden Mornington Crescent sign.

From the West (Vermont, Northern New Hampshire):

Take Route 2 east to Bethel and follow directions from Bethel above.

From the Southwest (Conway, NH; Fryeburg, ME):

Take Route 5 north through Stoneham into Albany Township. After Stoneham, Route 5 turns left and is joined by Route 35. Look for a brown sign indicating White Mountain National Forest camping. Take the next left onto Patte Brook Rd. After 0.5 miles, look for #103 on the right marked with the number and a small wooden Mornington Crescent sign.
