We have been educators and wilderness guides for over twelve years each. We are Outward Bound instructors, Registered Maine Guides, and Wilderness First Responders. A decade ago we began working with sled dogs as apprentice mushers to other expert guides, and we have been proudly raising and training our own dogs since 1999. We have spent our working lives teaching and guiding people in many challenging environments. Our goal is to teach wilderness travel techniques that are healthy for people, dogs and the environment.

Caroline's passion for wilderness travel began on the ocean as a sea kayaker and sailor. She finds the natural elements encountered while dogsledding just as awe-inspiring, but is careful to stay out of the water.

She grew up with two Golden retrievers called Zeus and Missy, and a cat called Medea.
Andy began his wilderness career as a rock climber and alpine mountaineer. He still gets to work with lots of rope while dogsledding, but tries to avoid vertical terrain.

He grew up with a mixed-breed dog called Tinker and a tortoise called Cedric.
